Who it’s actually good for

If you want a well-built, quiet pedestal fan with genuine whole-room airflow and don’t mind paying extra for smart-home integration, T3’s reviewer rated it as one of the best pedestal air circulators they’d tested — strong airflow, three adjustable height settings, and quiet enough to hold a normal conversation next to it even at full speed. The battery is also a real, useful feature for moving it between rooms, even though it isn’t the all-day cordless solution the marketing implies.

Who should look elsewhere

If you’re buying it specifically for the “up to 40 hours” cordless claim, know that real-world testing measured 5.5 hours at full speed — see the numbers below. And if you don’t have an Alexa or Google Assistant setup already, the Wi-Fi and app control that separate this from Meaco’s cheaper models won’t add much over the included remote; that money might be better spent elsewhere, including on the smaller Sefte 8 in our own lineup, or on Meaco’s 1056P if you’d rather have proper stepless height adjustment than an app.

What independent testing found

T3’s reviewer, who assembled and used the unit through a UK heatwave, found the build quality and airflow genuinely impressive — strong enough to be their go-to fan for the week, with lower speeds producing almost no audible noise and even the top speed staying conversational rather than loud. Measured power draw was around 5W on a low, non-oscillating setting, rising to 22-23W at full speed with oscillation running — useful concrete numbers against Meaco’s vaguer “costs less than 1p per hour” claim. Two things in Meaco’s own listing didn’t match the hands-on test: the “hidden carry handle” the listing describes wasn’t there according to the reviewer, and the battery life fell well short of the marketed figure — 5.5 hours at full blast and 11 hours on the lowest setting, against a listing that says “up to 40 hours” in one place and “43 hours” in another. The reviewer’s other reservation was the Wi-Fi app itself, calling it “somewhat redundant” for anyone without existing smart-home kit, since the magnetic remote already covers every function.
