Meaco Cirro Range Explained: Six Models, Three Sizes, and What's in Stock
Meaco's new Cirro portable air conditioners come in six versions. What the names mean, what's in the box, who sells them, and which ones you can actually buy right now.
By KeepCoolExpert Team · Updated 14 October 2026
Meaco’s Cirro range is its new line of smart portable air conditioners, launched in summer 2026 (Ideal Home dates the launch to June; the announcement post on Meaco’s own site is dated 29 July). The pitch is that it’s quieter than the MeacoCool Pro range it sits alongside. The naming makes it harder than it should be to work out which version is which, so here is the range in one place. We haven’t tested any of them; figures are Meaco’s unless we say otherwise.
The six models
| Name | Size | Inverter | Version | Price at Meaco |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cirro | 12000 BTU | No | Cooling only | £519.99 |
| Cirro | 12000 BTU | No | Cooling and heating | £539.99 |
| Cirro+ | 14000 BTU | Yes | Cooling only | £599.99 |
| Cirro+ | 14000 BTU | Yes | Cooling and heating | £629.99 |
| Cirro+ | 16000 BTU | Yes | Cooling only | £629.99 |
| Cirro+ | 16000 BTU | Yes | Cooling and heating | £659.99 |
The plus sign is the one to watch: Cirro+ means an inverter compressor, which Meaco says holds the temperature more smoothly and uses less energy. “Heater” or “CH” in a listing means the version with a heating mode. Retailers sometimes use their own names and model codes (for example CIRRO14000CHPRO at Air Con Centre), so match the BTU size and the heating or cooling-only label rather than the title alone.
What’s in the box
Every model comes with two window kits: a standard kit for sash windows (three plates totalling 170cm) and a flexible fabric kit for casement and other windows (up to 39cm wide and 4m long). There is a 1.8m exhaust duct 15cm across, a 65cm drainage hose, a remote and castors. Control is by the unit, the remote, or the Meaco app, which supports Alexa and Google Assistant. The warranty is two years on parts and labour, which Meaco says can be extended to five. One thing from Meaco’s product page worth knowing before you order direct: it says £50 is deducted from refunds on non-faulty returns within 14 days.
Where to buy, and where you can’t
The Cirro appears to be a UK-only product. Meaco’s own wording is “designed in the UK for UK homes”, and we found no Australian or New Zealand listings. The home page of Meaco’s Irish distributor site listed dehumidifiers and a fan but no portable air conditioners when we looked, so anyone in Ireland would be buying from UK stockists. Within the UK it has been sold by Meaco direct, Air Con Centre, Meaco Dehumidifiers UK, John Lewis and AO. We didn’t find a live Currys listing.
What’s actually in stock
Not much. On 14 October 2026 all six models were unavailable at Meaco direct, Air Con Centre and Meaco Dehumidifiers UK, John Lewis listed its Cirro pages as no longer available online, and we couldn’t load AO’s pages to check them. Meaco’s own return dates:
- 12000, heating version: October 2026
- 12000, cooling-only: March 2027
- 14000, cooling-only: April 2027
- 16000, cooling-only: April 2027
- 14000 and 16000, heating versions: no date shown
Dates move, and we update this page when we recheck. If you find one in stock, the cooling-only model is the same machine as the heating one for £20 to £30 less.
What’s been independently tested
One test that we could find: Ideal Home’s, published in July 2026, of the 12000 cooling-only. It found the unit cooled a room quickly and ran quieter than older portables, but measured noise well above Meaco’s figures, found the unit heavy, and couldn’t connect it to the app. We found no independent test of the 14000 or 16000, so what’s said about them online is mostly Meaco’s own specification. Our reviews cover each size: 12000, 14000 and 16000.
Which one should you get?
Choose by the room first. Our size comparison sets the three side by side, and Cirro vs MeacoCool Pro covers how the new range differs from the older one. If noise is the reason you’re looking, read how loud the Cirro really is first, because the figures on the box and the figures a reviewer measured don’t match. And if you’d rather not wait for stock, our portable air conditioner buying guide covers what to look for in other brands.

Frequently asked questions
- How many Meaco Cirro models are there?
- Six: three sizes (12000, 14000 and 16000 BTU), each in a cooling-only version and a version that also heats. The 12000 is called the Cirro and has no inverter. The 14000 and 16000 are called the Cirro+ and have inverter compressors. Prices at Meaco direct run from £519.99 for the 12000 cooling-only to £659.99 for the 16000 with heating.
- Can I buy the Meaco Cirro in Ireland, Australia or New Zealand?
- We couldn't find a way to. Meaco describes the Cirro as designed in the UK for UK homes. We found no Australian or New Zealand listings, and the home page of Meaco's Irish distributor site didn't list any portable air conditioners when we checked. Northern Ireland buyers can order from UK retailers, though delivery terms to Northern Ireland vary by retailer, so check before ordering.
- Why does the Cirro box say MeacoCool Pro?
- Meaco's product pages list the packaging name as MeacoCool Pro, and Ideal Home's reviewer noticed the same on her review unit. The unit inside is the Cirro. Check the model on the rating plate when it arrives.
